I swear years ago there was a thing about him popping his clogs. Used to be on around Thunderbirds.

Shaw, wanted info about proper old school blags, sawn offs and the like. Big Vern jobs.

Athletico Easthamico - well spotted adding the finishing touches! I am practising in front of the mirror now. I think I might start using at work when addressing my team, what do you think?

Touches the corner of right eyebrow with index finger, then touches nose with same finger and then point at the camera (all in one flowing movement) KEEP EM PEELED!

Thought he used to also give a little wink and smile at the camera on top of all that.

Legend.

I always thought it was only ever shown in London, cos it was always about a blagging in Wandsworth High St.

Sad news indeed, the forerunner of Crimewatch it was most lads secret pastime to watch his programme Police 5.

Re: Keep 'em Peeled
Back in the late 70s, Shaw Taylor reported a Building Society raid in Victoria Road, Romford – in which me and a pal photobombed him.

It wasn’t called ‘photobombing’ in those days, it was called ‘being a pillock’.

I used to write down the number plates of cars used in robberies on Police 5. After The Big Match, I'd go and stand on the street to see if any of them happened to be passing by. Sadly, none ever did.

Shaw Taylor R.I.P.

I saw him over 20 years ago at Gatwick and said hi Sir he replied back, decent presenter.

Re: Keep 'em Peeled
Yeah he lived down here, over in Totland Bay. You'd see him over there tottering around, looking for muggers.

Felix Bowness, who played the jockey in hi-de-hi lived in Shanklin and you'd see him too, died about 5 years ago?

Small place is the Isle of Wight.

Met him once when he came to Dagenham to do part of his show about an armed robbery on a bank in oxlow lane, seemed a nice guy despite having around twenty school kids trying to put him off his presenting. RIP shaw

Yeh, remember it being on before the Big Match.
